Adoption in Vietnam: until further notice, additional delays before receiving proposals from Vietnam

Please take note that, until further notice, Children of the World will not take new registrations.  The Vietnamese authorities have not yet completed their process, leading to the new procedures (following the coming into effect of the new adoption law, last January).

As soon as we obtain, from the Vietnamese department of adoption, information as to the number of adoptions to be carried out each year, we will pass it on to you. Please keep in mind that we still have open dossiers  belonging to families in waiting for Vietnam and that priority will be granted to parents of Children of the World that are waiting for proposals from China.

Adoption files in China

The CCAA informed us that they had completed the revision of the files registered before November 30, 2010. Those registered up to August 15 2006 were matched. The next proposals that we are expecting are for couples whose files were sent to China on August 3, 2006 and registered with the CCAA on August 16, 2006.
